Just do it while they are asleep for now. They will grow out of fighting it naturally.
My 4 year old still doesn't like his nails done and I couldn't do long in his sleep because he woke up. It takes 2 people cut his nails and he screams.and cries the entire time. It's frustrating
My 2yr old is always asleep when we cut his nails. He would fight if he was awake, so we do it when he sleeps
My kiddo is the same way! My advice is team up! My guy pinches and pulls hair. Me and dad team up and he holds and soothes while I clip.
I have to put a video on my phone or the TV to keep him distracted otherwise he will not keep still. Or sometimes my husband will pull up the funny filters on his camera to keep him distracted while I cut his nails. I know some people avoid screen time altogether but sometimes it can be a life saver when you just need them to sit still for a minute haha
