I’m a teacher though, so reading is important to me 😂
@Beth same here!
One book at bedtime. I want to read more to her but she just closes the pages on me during the day
We sometimes do 1 in the day but she doesn’t like to sit still now😅 we usually do 2 at bed time and she hates when it’s time to put it away. She loves turning the pages! She probably has about 40 books. She likes the ‘that’s not my’ books because she likes to point at things so it’s really helping develop her fine motor skills
We try and aim for 2 a day - one English and one Turkish (husbands language and where we live) often though because of husband's job it's just one by me or two if she's calm enough - she never wants to sit still anymore !
Because most of his books are only a few sentences we do a couple depending on how tired he is at bedtime. His favourite are the ‘that’s not my’ touch books specifically that’s not my dragon is his fav xx
Our bedtime book is “goodnight my little cuddle bug” she knows as soon as mama bug gives little kisses the book is over and it’s milk time so she closes it for me
We read books daily! And my son LOVES turning the page, lifting flaps and feeling the textures of baby books. We tend to do the same books for touchy-feely things but I’ll often read picture books to him and mix them up so it’s not the same every day.
