Yep. Waited waaaaay past the 6 weeks. I was busy with babies and breastfeeding.

@Sofie same!

Because I had my second April 2nd and I’m no longer bleeding and I want to but I’m not 100% sure if I should or not

Hi mama's!! I'm a trained Doula and Birth photographer. It isnt so much about the stop bleeding, it's waiting out the risk of a another pregnancy that early(you're EXTREMELY fertile for those first few weeks, and it takes off to a slightly higher than normal until you're about 9ish months) But the BIGGEST part is for safety of infections. You're very likely to contract infections because your uterine wall is exposed. That's why they don't recommend you taking baths for those 6 weeks because you're more likely to get the infection, and of course sex because most of our male partners don't wipe themselves after using the restroom or they don't wipe themselves before se -xual activies.

@RaileneThank you so much for this information. I previously thought I was fertile, but I didn't realize that I could get pregnant almost immediately after having sex. I want to avoid any risks, especially since my baby was born on April 2nd. I'll wait for the next couple of weeks before considering anything.

@Emily @Sofie Same here too.

I did, the infection risk is high if you don’t wait

@Railene this is such good details, thanks for sharing ♥️

@Sofie sorry! I promise only trying to spread good information. Everything you can do at your own risk of course, but can't avoid the risks if you don't know.

I was instructed to wait till after 6 weeks each of my pregnancies due to 2nd degree tearing but also was just too busy and worn out to be interested in it at all till after that point.

@Railene another fun fact is your chance of having a multiples pregnancy is MUCH higher if you conceive while breastfeeding. We’re pretty sure that’s how we wound up with our wonderful twins 💕
