My kids are 20 18 15 13 and 9 all live at home

Are 9 & 20 year olds considered teens?

@Nikeisha didn't say they were was just stating my kids ages that live with me

Oh ok. Sounds like u have your hands full. More help to go around d I guess with household stuff

I have a 15 year old.

Yeah I have a 19 yr old who literally sleeps all day she like a recluse

My oldest is almost 17 he lives at home with me

I have a 16 yr old still at home. My oldest is 22 with her own apartment.

Okay, so second question. Anyone dealing with an EXTREMELY lazy and selfish teenager?? My daughter is 16 and I was totally self sufficient by her age. She’s on the verge of being kicked off her college course for non-attendance. Her room is a shit hole. She does nothing to help me around the home. Bearing in mind I’m 6 months pregnant. Like, I literally don’t know what to do but I’m at my wits end!

Don't have teens yet as I have 2 boys aged 9 and 5. Congrats on months!

Based on what I have seen and heard some patents do, perhaps give a dose of reality. Let her know how much you love her, and at the same time, her expectations are to graduate from high school and contribute to the household via doing simple chores if she wants a living wage a.k.a cash flow her way or a working phone. A privileged life needs to be earned, or they will be eliminated. In the real world, you don't pay your phone bill. You get cut off.

My living kids are 14 and 10.

Sorry. I can't help you with that one, incognito. My daughter isn't like that.

My kids are 25, 22, 20, 17, 15 and 8. They all live at home except the oldest who lives with his wife.

@Lisa (can't see waves) lucky you! So…what’s the secret??

Sorry. I don't have a secret, but I'm here if you want to message me and vent.

My kids are 12 and 15. The bedroom of my 15yo is like you mentioned. It's unbelievable. Popcorn kernels on the floor. Piles of empty glasses and plates. Clothes all over the floor. Once a week I force him to clean up, and it's always a battle. He does have official chores that he does somewhat well. He empties the dishwasher every morning. But it took a long time to become a habit. Must be hard for you to enforce, though, being pregnant. You have my sympathies and hugs!

Non attendance of college courses is unacceptable though! And concerning, to be honest. Is her father around, to help?
