Same. Mine refuses to drink milk out of any straw. For mine, I think it's more a comfort thing because she's also still really attached to her pacifier.

Mine is the exact same. She refuses milk from a sippy and a straw. Will only take it from a bottle

Mine will drink it sometimes out of a sippy but only during the day at night he refuse to drink it unless it’s on his bottle

@Maria I think you’re right about the comfort .

Girlie your not alone my son does the same thing, I’m glad someone mentioned it. Now the real question is how to fix that 😣that would be helpful

Have you tried using a silicone sippy type in place of the regular nipple? We were able to transition to a hard nuk sippy cup after that.

You can also look up on amazon depending on what bottle your using. They have transition straws for that bottle. And you can turn their own bottle into a sippy cup. Instead of trying to offer a new cup.

I just cold turkey the bottle and went straight to camelback cups

SAME!!!!!

My son is 16months and I started introducing him to straws at around 6months. He’s a pro, I took the bottles away before he turned 1Yr.

The same over here 🙋🏼‍♀️ my son is super small so our pediatrician isn’t concerned, she’d rather him get the milk than struggle with the transition! Chat with your pediatrician and see if they have any ideas on how to trouble shoot it!

I threw away his bottles as mean as it sounds. It's bad for their teeth the older they get and can cause many other issues, the same as using a pacifier past a certain age. Give it to him in a straw cup and wait it out, he will want it bad enough, especially since he knows how to use a straw cup

We had the same thing with my daughter and ended up just stopping the bottles cold turkey one weekend a few weeks ago! She would drink a little milk out of a sippy cup, but not nearly as much as she would out of a bottle. After about 5-6 days of her drinking a couple ounces 3 times a day, she suddenly wanted 12 ounces in one sitting and I had to refill the sippy multiple times! I think she still drinks a little less milk than she did with bottles, but she’s a great eater so I’m not concerned about her nutrition. It helped that we had already changed the timing of her bottle so that she wasn’t using it to fall asleep.

Your child doesn’t need milk. Just ween the amount slowly over a few weeks, then just don’t offer it anymore. If they still ask for milk only offer in a straw or small open cup. If they really want it, they’ll figure it out.

Yeah I tried offering him a lil milk in straw cup he takes one sip of it nd notices that it isn’t water & throws it down
