My husband is getting a vasectomy. Safer, cheaper and easier for them than it is for women to get their tubes tied.

My husband got a vasectomy after I had our third baby in 2018. It was cheaper and shorter recovery time compared to if I tied my tubes. Also his procedure from beginning to end took 30 minutes. He took it easy Friday, Saturday, Sunday and was back to feeling good by Monday.

I had my tubes tied during a C-section. My sister had hers done and they did it laparoscopicly. I think it depends on your specific situation. There are different versions of tubas and female sterilization so do your research, not all are reversible like a vasectomy is.

A lot cheaper if he gets a vasectomy. Plus insurance covers it since it preventable care. As tube's tied is a big procedure.
