Maternity pay

Hi guys, This is my second week of mat leave and ice juat been paid so my pay should just be normal this month. I've been paid like 10% more than usual - does anyone know why this would be ? Is it to do with mat leave (but I can't see why as that's first 4 weeks at 100% and I'm only on week 2) or is it an error? I need to login to look at my payslip but thought maybe someone might have had similar

You should still get pay scale raises that everyone else gets while you're on maternity leave, could it be to do with that maybe? X

I thought that but I'm pretty sure we haven't had a 10% pay rise ? Unless it's something that's been backdated? Has anyone else had a payrise in April?

I was also paid a little bit extra during the second month of my maternity leave leave- can't remember why as it was last year!

I've looked at my payslip and I've got 2 weeks at normal pay for Easter hols (expected) but the SMP and OMP for these last 2 weeks has come out as more than that. It's probably something to do with the way it's worked out over the year but makes it really hard to know you are getting paid correctly.

HR have said that it's just because maternity is paid in full weeks whereas basic pay would be the days worked and not necessarily full weeks. ☺️
