UC and housing element

Hi guys, I’m currently entitled to UC but when I go back to work I’ve calculated that I’ll be -£40 over my entitlement for UC for claimant and child - does this then start to deduct off the housing element part? Thanks

I believe it will, that's my understanding of it anyway

It will come off your overall payment .

I work part time and get uc. It depends how much u earn to how much they take off. But I still get my rent paid for.

@Serena so what I’ve worked out, I’ll be taking home £1800 - so it’ll wipe out my £680 payment for single claimant plus child element and wondered if the extra bit of like £80 will then come off the rent part too x
