Potty training

We started on Saturday and he did go a few times on the potty and got lots of celebration when he did. We’ve got stickers for sitting down and he’s got a chart for when he does go. I’ve also got a basket of toys specific for on the potty to help keep him there. But last 2 days he’s holding it and just not going on the potty. Waiting till he’s got up then he has an accident. How can I encourage him to go on the potty?! At least he’s learning to hold it and not going all the time but no matter how long we sit there he waits till he’s up 🤦🏼‍♀️

Idk man I had the same thing but she got upset while holding it and didnt want to go so rather than stress her out I've just gone back to nappies for now. Will try again in the summer I think

Thing is he does get a bit upset when he has an accident sometimes also so he wants to do the right thing but it’s like he’s forgotten he can pee there. Ideally we want to get him fully trained as soon as possible as we’re expecting our second in the summer.

We already got the second haha 😂

It’s just a phase I promise you! It lasted about 2 days for my daughter then all of a sudden she stopped and was absolutely fine with minimal accidents

Mine has only started pooping on the potty (of his own accord) so we’re going to officially start over the long weekend, but I’ll always remember a teacher was potty training his kid and overshared 😅 - he said for wees he would put a pan of water under toddler’s feet/ put his feet in it and it worked like magic to make him go. Always thought I’d try it with my own

Hi @Alice I’m planning to start soon. Sorry didn’t have much info at the moment. Do you mind let me know which one did you bought for him ?
