Oat bath

I gave my baby an oat bath last night and think she’s reacted to it, her eczema’s really flared. Am I better off bathing her tonight to wash it off or leaving her for a few days? As I have been bathing her as little as possible to help the eczema

Children with eczema may struggle with food based creams/emollients/oat baths before they are weaned, we found this out through weaning that my boy was reactive to oats and we’d done oat baths previously to try and soothe his skin, after seeing advice we were told to avoid things like aveeno, coconut oil and oat baths and that (among other things) has definitely helped! Some people get on great with them, but a lot don’t!

Yeah I was reluctant to try the oat bath because I suspected she reacted to eating oats, but I did and now not sure what to do in terms of bathing her again tonight or not (with plain water)

I’ve done the same and used creams with oats etc to later find out my daughter was allergic ! She can’t even eat anything with oats !

We were using aveeno lotions and washes for my daughter, who has eczema, and it didn't get better. I was eating oats every day and having oat milk. We also then gave her oats for the first time about 2 weeks ago, and she had an allergic reaction. We've stopped using the aveeno and changed to no soap and QV lotion and her skin is much better! I've also cut out oats in my diet (BF)
