My son will be getting his soon too because he'll need to go to Daycare next semester!
My son will be getting an early MMR at his 6 month appointment next week, because we have a few cases of measles in my area and I work in pediatric healthcare so I'm high risk for exposure and bringing it home to him. The only reason they don't typically do MMR until 12 months is because the immunity is short lived if given before 12 months, so they will require the additional two shots still once they are old enough. However, it is very common to offer an early vaccination if there is an active outbreak in your area or you are traveling internationally!
We got our MMR shot done at our 6 month vaccines! Would much rather her be protected. The paediatrician recommended to do it now and then again at 1 year.
got ours last monday for the same reason!! he was fine
