@Raqi I just use Dr. Bronner’s peppermint soap twice a day (day & night) and moisturize with an Equate Facial Moisturizer with SPF for day & I usually wear no moisturizer at night bc my face produces so much oil. Basic I know, but I’m trying to find products that won’t irritate my skin. I use Noxema Blemish pads 2X a week bc it stings but shrinks my acne.
Sometimes not hydrating or moisturizing enough can cause even more oil because your skin will produce extra sebum to make up for it causing acne
Hold up - you’re using an 18 in 1 on your face??
@Elizabeth diluted of course, you’re saying it as if it’s not natural like I’m using a 2 in 1 shampoo and body wash😭
The Dr Bronner's is probably too harsh for your skin, I'd probably try a more gentle cleanser. I love oil cleansing followed up by a foaming cleanser, or bioderma micellar water for a quick cleanse. Oily skin still needs moisturizer! I'd search around online for suggestions on good options for oily skin. Reddit has some great communities for skin care advice
I'm glad to hear you're using daily SPF! If the Noxema pads have eucalyptus, I'd maybe try switching to a different BHA (Salicylic Acid) exfoliant, but the peppermint oil in the soap is probably more of an issue. I love essential oils, but they can be very irritating to the skin.
@Raqi & @Elizabeth thank you!❤️
No no I looked at the ingredients is all and I agree with Raqi that it seems too harsh to be using on your face twice a day. I would try a different cleanser :) I like the cerave salicylic acid cleanser but even that I don’t use every night in case it’s too harsh on my skin. I also found certain moisturizers just didn’t agree with my skin they felt too heavy for me. I found that anhydrous solutions work best for me. For some people water based works best. Just something to consider
In addition to what's been said already re: your skincare, you can also get a blackhead remover. I use a Quo one sometimes (after washing my face with warm water or steaming to open pores, and toning after) and it's so satisfying lol: https://www.shoppersdrugmart.ca/dual-ended-blackhead/p/BB_057800206347?utm_source=google&utm_medium=search&utm_campaign=2024~1~4~ld~external~shoppersdrugmart~na~sdm~sdm-beauty~national~pmax~7000545-2023-sdm-ecomm-ao&utm_content=6080009~2024-sdm-ecomm-ao-pmax-prestige-en~na~en&utm_term=&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=18203465251&gclid=Cj0KCQjw8cHABhC-ARIsAJnY12yQ--NhBXwjuxMvmBKm8UFhkcUO6kGHEt0gKOf-e-bZoSCkBXpDxEkaAiWiEALw_wcB
gentle cleanser, oil free or water based moisturizer, salicylic acid
