I personally would not fly. Yes I would wear the socks even if I wasn't pregnant etc I've had pre-eclampsia and it's awful. At least you'll have the memory of travelling. Good luck
I didn't get compression socks for my flight. I was nearly 26 weeks when I flew out and 27 on coming back. But my flight was only an hour. I'd say get them personally if ghe flight is over 4 hours is normally when they recommend but if you feel like you need them then get them for sure x
Wear the socks, but you’ll also need a fit to fly letter.
Hey! I took an 11 hour flight at 18 weeks and was okay, feet did get very swollen but I don’t think I could have avoided that, I think the socks did help me feel at least more comfortable and compressed! I was told by my midwife that the fit to fly letter is when you’re 28+ weeks but probably best to double check :)
Yes I thought the the fit to fly letter is 28+ weeks. I need to go and pick up my Mat B1 form from reception so I'll try to ask the receptionist. I'll get some socks either way, better to be safe than sorry! We should of been on our Honeymoon in August but blessed with having our son instead so this is the alternative mini moon we're having for 4 nights x
@Deborah I got a fit to fly just in case, was not asked for it, but depends what airline you fly with x
I've just done an e consultation with my Dr's asking the question. Thanks you everyone!
My doctors don't provide fit to flys so I'm having to go private ( I'll be 30 weeks) but yes I'll be wearing the socks, moving around and staying well hydrated ❤️xx have the best time!! xx
I’m travelling next week at 31 weeks and plan to wear them with lose clothing, I’m low risk
I flew at 22 weeks during my last pregnancy and I was told to make sure I had insurance and wear flight socks. I also developed pre- eclampsia before I flew but was given the all clear x
I wore them in a 3h flight, plus try to get up and walk every 30min in the plane just to be safe x
