Anyone whose toddlers are thumb suckers? How to get it to stop. She sucks her thumb when sleepy, hungry, bored, tired, scared so many instances lol. Want to stop it now. She is 13 months old so does not understand of I tell her not to

I didn’t stop sucking my thumb until I was 13 and my 4 year old still sucks her thumb. They said they tried everything and they couldn’t get me to stop but I’m sure someone else could give you some better advice 😭

I had an overbite until I got braces. Which they were the only reason why I stopped. I actually sucked all my fingers. I came out the womb with 4 in my mouth. Then I switched to my thumb. I had a sore on it and a black mark on it for years from sucking it.
At 13 months its still very normal for them to suck their thumbs. Why do you want her to stop? It is effecting her teeth?
