No definitely not necessary, not sure who told you that. Tbh I do find it easier to use a vest with baby leggings or whatever as a t shirt rides up too much. But it’s 24c where I am, I absolutely would not put a baby in a vest and t shirt in this weather it’s an overheating risk x
Just personal preference, sometimes my girl wears a tshirt, sometimes the vest acts as her tshirt. Sometimes in hot weather, a short sleeve vest is her whole outfit.
I took my little girls under vest off yesterday as she got too hot - I think can get little knickers for them if worried about naopy but it stayed in place ok x
mine hasn’t wore vests the last two days just a light tshirt. loose clothing is actually better in the best as it gives their skin more room to breathe/get fresh air to them instead of being restricted by a vest! never heard about vests keeping nappy intact, we’ve not had any issues since not wearing the vest! x
Totally personal preference. We did sometimes find poppered vests helped keep the nappy in place but then when we stopped using them we didn't have any nappy issues.
When it’s hot just a nappy can be enough, my LO been I just a romper yesterday and been in a strapped vest and flow my dress today as we’ve stayed home and been inside where it’s cooler, if we’ve to go into the garden or out id take a layer off.
I didn’t always have my little boy in a vest, as long as the nappy fits properly it shouldn’t matter
