How to cope with the summer heat??

Hi all 💓 Scandinavian mom-to-be here who just moved to Austin. Safe to say I am not used to concerning about heat/overheating in the summer, but realize that’s my new reality..? In all honesty - I am really nervous for my baby and myself (due in mid June) and how to cope with the Austin heat 😰 I’ve heard it’s a struggle from many people (not really any moms though). I am used to being active and outdoors year-around and I get scared thinking of overheating my baby girl.. How do you experienced Austin moms cope during the summer months?? Is it as bad as they say? I think I’m looking for a combination of tips and tricks and a peptalk 🥹❤️

Oh girl! June is the best month, July and August are terrible, just try not to be outside when the UV is too high, you can get those little fan to put in the stroller. I’m also due in June

I am from Brazil but lived in Ireland for 5 years. And even for me it’s haaaard. I don’t really do anything outside during July, August because it’s way too hot.

I’m glad to hear I’m not alone 💓 Is it still OK to go out for stroller walks in the mornings and evenings? I can’t stand the thought of not being able to do so for 2 months!! 😰

Recommend getting a room thermometer so you always know what the temp is. It can vary in every room in your house. Highly recommend. Not expensive at all either
