Whooping cough painful arm

Hello! This is not an anti vaccine post - vaccines are awesome and I’d happily put up with this for baby’s safety, I’m just looking for advice. I had my whooping cough vaccine yesterday and my arm is agony. Like I can feel it down to my wrist and had to take my ring off. I’ve had sore arms before with jabs but this is something else. It did hurt more than usual actually getting it but I assumed the nurse just wasn’t that gentle. I had a toddler on my lap so couldn’t really blame her. No fever or headache, just a bit queasy. Has anyone else had this? Any advice? I don’t know whether to try and use it more and push through, or rest it as much as I can.

Hey! Mine was really painful after for about 2-3 days then it was absolutely fine. I think unfortunately it's just one of those that can be an absolute b***h, han in there! 🥰

Had mine Wednesday arms only just easing but the pain still there

Had mine Wednesday and only today does it feel better. Still a little achy! I remember when I had it with my daughter hurting for ages

Thanks all! Did you find anything helped make it feel better sooner? I can’t lift my son very easily at the moment!

Honestly .. no 😅 paracetamol has never touched the sides for me. I tried to do some gentle stretches and rest where I could

I had mine on Monday and it was super painful for about two days and then was fine again.

I had mine on Monday and my arm was so sore for 3 days!! I also was EXHAUSTED until Wednesday, but everything is back to normal now!

Mine was super painful for like 3 days, they told me to try keep it moving and to take paracetamol if needed!

Paracetamol deff helped me

Thanks everyone! Just in case people are still scrolling this far back/looking for advice… I had a MISERABLE couple of days - I’d say about 60 hours from getting the vaccine was awful. Two nights of lying there with it throbbing at night. Couldn’t really lift my son and if I tried I got woozy like my body was trying to shut me down before I did something stupid. Felt mostly better this morning and now it’s just like standard vaccine stiffness. It’ll be normal tomorrow! Just sharing because I’ve really never had a reaction like this (and I’ve got the same jab before!) and I was getting quite worried the nurse had somehow got a nerve or something. But as everyone else said, I just had to wait it out so if this happens to you don’t panic!
