Solicitor recommendations near swanley kent?!
I know I can google this but wondering if anything in the swanley, Dartford or close ish area has had experience with solicitors / lawyers who sue work for unfair dismissal. Had my first day back at work on Thursday after 9 month Matt leave. Had two meetings prior to returning in February, put in requested for flexible working, I had to chase work but eventually we all came to an agreement, I had the childcare in place ect all was good. I was told I’d have my new contract ready for my first day back now being with this company 5 years I kinda trusted that be okay. Hour into my shift manager calls me in for a meeting with HR where they have taken back everything they agreed saying it’s “due to demands of businesses” and “as per my contract” they have the right to change my hours / days. I said I physically can’t be in office 5 days a week, I wasn’t before Matt leave ( even tho it wasn’t official it never hindered my job) i said we had meetings, talks this is an ambush! To which she said well we are sad to see you go but we understand you putting your family first, I was so shocked I didn’t know what to say. I just went back to my desk where I was locked out everything ALREADY! She said the next months is garden leave and I could go, I literally walked out and sat in my car like wtf just happed!! Now iv had few days to get my brain strait, im angry and ready to fight. I went above and beyond for that company and that manager ( in risk of sounding petty or not) only has that management job because i got pregnant and taken time out!!
I’m sorry I have no suggestions (I clicked as I am local) but that’s horrific?! I’m so sorry that’s happened to you. You can try ringing pregnant then screwed who can offer free legal advice as a starting point. Make copies of EVERYTHING (especially if you need things from your work email) and document all the conversations with dates/times (with evidence if you can) while things are still fresh. You’ve only got 3 months to take them to tribunal unfortunately so act asap. Well done for going down that path though as most won’t due to the stress etc but companies need to be held accountable xx
