@💗 Miss Jen Do you suggest waking him a few times in the night to go potty or just let him sleep and see what happens?
@Chelsea Its not always ideal to wake a child in the middle of the night to go potty just to avoid bed time accidents. Ever hear the saying "Never wake a sleeping baby"? As a professional potty training coach I do not feel potty training takes precedence over quality sleep. Waking a child in the night to make them potty will disrupt the child's much needed sleep. It disturbs their circadian rhythm and interrupts valuable REM cycles. Which makes for a tired, groggy toddler who will be grumpy and un-cooperative the next day. (Not a good mix when trying to learn a new life skill of potty training) 😥 Here's my quick video for you that explains the stages & steps of night time potty training and when you can expect to transition from bed time diapers/nappies to pull-ups to wearing underwear for bed time. https://youtu.be/fSrqvG3BMXo
👋☺ Hi @Chelsea Let him experience no pull-ups. He might just surprise you! During this uncertain stage of Night time training it'll be helpful to use some washable, re-usable, waterproof mattress protector pads! https://amzn.to/3BhoVuf https://amzn.to/38HLgmW https://amzn.to/3G6BBUq As a professional potty training coach I like working with waterproof protective mattress pads in case of accidents when your little cutie is wearing undees for naps, nights, bed time. Lots of variety of colors & patterns! These work great for cribs, toddler beds and co-sleeping in Mama's bed, hotels, camping, even airplane seats!
