Travel cot for everyday sleeping?

I have an April 2022 baby and now due a baby boy in June 2025! 🙂 I am thinking of how little time they spend in their next to me crib (my boy was trying to stand up and lean out of his by 5/6 months). Do you think a travel cot with a built in bassinet would be a better idea than a next to me? I feel like not many people do this and I’m not sure why (is there a reason?) 💛

You totally could. I didn’t because the mattress wasn’t that comfortable and the shook a lot. It wasn’t as sturdy as just a bassinet

Havent tried it, but i got a next to me off marketplace and then sold it on when we were done with it.

I did it with my first, and got that exactly from the picture! She slept fine in it the first 5/6 months until we moved her to her cot in her room. I dont think theres a reason to not do it

They also take up more space so depends on room size and the sides don't always come down.
