Allergies with toddler.
My 4yo had been waiting up with a bad cough. The doctor says is allergies and prescribed something but it hasn’t been working :/ and she has a hard time coughing up all the phlegm. They tested for just about everything else and everything came back negative. It’s been hit and my complex hasn’t turned on the AC so we have been sleeping in front of a rotating fan. What can I do to help the cough go away? Any natural remedies? How can I help her build up defenses against allergies or help break down phlegm so she isn’t coughing and chocking on it.
We recently got genexa allergy for kids, local honey 1 tsp a day is supposed to help with allergies but can take time to start working, and sinus saver from herb farm, it’s a tincture! Also washing bedding weekly, baths before bed especially if playing outside… pineapple juice can be good for coughs also… limiting dairy due to the phlegm!
