What are the signs of adhd in 4-5 y/o?

Sometimes I think my son might have adhd. I tried talking to his doctor about it back when he was 3-4 y/o but she told me he was too young to be diagnosed. Said that all small children behave that way although me and my partner seemed to think something was wrong regardless. So I’m just wondering for those with kids his age or around his age group, what are the signs I can be looking for? I’m thinking if something is wrong when he starts actual school later this year maybe his teachers will be able to tell. Then they can basically vouch that he does need to be evaluated.

The NHS website has a list of symptoms you can look through 😊 the kids now days won't be assessed till their 5 or 7, depending who you speak to. Also, if it is ADHD, there's nothing "wrong" with them, I'm in the same boat as you currently, my child was referred at a very young age and we're still waiting, it's really hard to adjust especially if you aren't use to managing a child with certain needs, there are days where i just can't do it. Hang in there and keep pushing for a referral, you'll get there 💪
