Have you tried a sound machine? Might help them get used to the vacuum or help them zero in on another sound and calm them down.
I haven’t tried that but I will admit, my vacuum is super loud. I don’t even think she would hear it over the vacuum
Maybe introduce a vacuum cleaner sound from YouTube. There’s a vacuum cleaner sound for babies video. You could start with that on low and gradually increase it, then try running the vacuum? There’s one my son likes to fall asleep to and I can send you the link if you want to try it.
My daughter was like that….but as she’s gotten older she’s gotten better about it. When she was younger I just tried to have her in another room when I got it out or used noise cancelling headphones. I think it was the loud noise that freaked her out.
My girl actually loves the vacuum and I have to try and keep her away from it while I’m vacuuming. She actually says the word vacuum every time she sees it (her version of the word) and runs to the vacuum when I turn it in. Ever since she was a newborn, I would happily cheer for the vacuum, blender, and anything else loud that might be scary and I think that’s why she’s not afraid and loves it. I also always tell her it’s going to be loud and then I turn it in for a quick second after to show her and immediately turn it off and then I turn it on again and go about my normal business with it. You could try doing that and getting her a kids toy vacuum too
My 1 year old loves it MY 3 year old is scared of it🤣🤣
Yea- mine throws a fit about it anytime it’s on. Full meltdown
My son is kind of indifferent unless I bring the hose near him lol
Same here. She will run towards me as I'm vacuuming and want me to hold her
