Spit up?

Hello everyone! My baby just turned 2 months old, and the past 2-3 weeks he has been spitting up a LOT. After he eats 98% of the time, he spits/throws a ton of it up. I would say like 0.5-1 oz. Sometimes I get lucky enough to catch it in my hand 😭 and it’s a lot! He does it sometimes while we are burping him, other times it’s just a few minutes after he eats. He doesn’t really fuss or whine at all after he eats, so I don’t think he’s in any pain, and he always seems to want more food afterwards. Has anyone else experienced this? He always spat up a little bit but suddenly it just got super excessive. Should I be concerned? He has his two month appointment tomorrow, so I will bring it up then. I just wanted to know what everyone’s thoughts were! Thanks!

Me too!!! We have tried to keep him still for a few minutes after then burp him. That seems to help a little

My little guy is 6 months old and for some odd reason he tends to get more spit up-y when he’s either about to have a growth spurt or during the growth spurt. I don’t know if it’s common or not but maybe a possibility?

Could be reflux. My daughter had it and had to be on meds

This used to happen to my son as well and it ended up being acid reflux. To help him I’d feed him on his side slightly elevated with a pillow and I also switched his formula to enfamil AR.

It could be a sensitivity, happened with my first little one and had to switch the formulas 😭 but it was exactly the same situation

My kid spat up constantly till he started solids. He was a don't touch without a receiving blanket in hand baby. He had reflux and just tended to eat too fast and get air in his tummy, and the air coming out brought milk with it when he was being burped. Kelli g him upright and still for 5-10 minutes after eating helped, as did pacing his feeding, and switching to a different formula helped with some of the discomfort associated with it all, but mostly it was just something he had to grow out of, which he did starting around 4 months when he started solids.

My kid was a super puker until about 7 or 8 months. He’s almost 2 and still pukes sometimes šŸ˜† real talk though, it was very stressful because he was 8 weeks premature and is on the lower end of the weight spectrum (2nd percentile) so keeping his milk down wad important and seemed like an impossible task. We went the dairy-free route for a long time (hard on me because he was getting breast milk so I had to cut dairy) and had him on reflux meds. We’d keep him upright for 30 mins after feeds, but I can’t say with much certainty that it necessarily helped.
