Sitting up

My daughter was born in September 2024, she can sit up but with support she lends to the left or the right. I don’t know what to do to help I’m open to suggestions I’m truly worried about her.

I have twins that are the same! They were a month early so I’m hoping that’s all, but they can’t sit up completely alone yet either. I’m glad I’m not alone!

She was born 5 days early! She is my second and I know that all babies are different but I’m not gonna lie I’m a little worried! I’m glad I’m not alone either!

If you have concerns you can always contact your provider It’s normal though, that babies will start sitting by themselves at 9 months though, so you still have time. I couldn’t sit independently until I was 10 months, yet I was walking at 9 months 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Eileen thank you! Makes me feel a little more at ease

Practice makes perfect. I stay in contact with my health provider and nurses from WIC my son was born same month and they say if they can sit up at least 1 minute unsupported that’s good enough at this age! Every kid is different, don’t stress too much. I’m stressing about my 2 year old who still doesn’t speak much and I struggle with this
