I took Pregnacare which have all the vitamins you need but the pills were huge and made my morning sickness worse so when the midwives provided the NHS ones at my 12 week scan I switched to those x
Get some folic acid prescribed off your dr and take pregnacare x
I’ve been taking the pregnacare plus vitamins
I took the pregnacare ones- was also recommended by the midwife. I feel your anxiety as I felt the same (I’m now 4.5 months pp). Thought the gap between finding out I’m pregnant until the first midwife appointment was way too long!
Folic acid is cheaper to buy from the shop rather than the doctors if your BMI isn’t high. Take pregnacare or something similar, I struggled with being sick so I actually got some pregnancy chewable vitamins from Amazon x
I had pregnacare tablets, I took after my dinner so didn’t affect my morning sickness x
The my expert midwife ones are good. Ive been taking them with or without food. Hate taking tablets. The pregnacare ones really unsettled my stomach and were 2 huge tablets x
Just get yourself some shop branded folic acid and vit d x
I take the pregnacare plus omega 3 supplements which are really good x
I took the Bassett's gummies. Pop to any pharmacy/supermarket and find pregnancy multivitamins. There are many and they all do the same thing. Main thing though is folate or folic acid. Rest whenever you can because the first trimester is tough. I always took my multivitamins in the evening towards the end of the 1st tri because I felt less sick than if I took them in the AM.
Don’t go wasting your money on branded pregnancy related ones. If you have a good varied diet all you need to Folic Acid and Vitamin D. If you want to include other vitamins then just a standard multivitamin is fine. I’m a midwife myself and it’s what I tell all women I care for. Pregnacare is just a brand for a multivitamin with extra folic acid in.
Pregnacare - no vitamin A as it can cause birth defects, make sure to take folic acid and iron are important! X
I was only taking folic acid and vitamin d throughout pregnancy.
I think the recommendation is just folic acid and vitamin d 😊
I’ve taken Proceive all the way throughout my pregnancy and found them amazing. Wild is supposed to be a good alternative too.
