Babies blocked nose

Hey my baby got her first cold (she’s 6.5 months) and she’s got a really horrible blocked nose. I feel so bad for her. I use the suction thing but it doesn’t seem to do much. I was wondering if anyone has any tips?? Does a nasal aspirator work well?

I use the saline spray and a baby vapour rub (snuffle baby or similar). Also the vapour plug in works great - I have the boots one.

@Rachel thank you! I’ve been using saline spray but will try and get some baby vapour rub however I can’t use the plug ins as they’re not safe for dogs 🥲

A steamy bathroom works a well. When my LO was little I got told to do a steam feed. Make the bathroom steamy and feed her to encourage her to breath the stream in and it worked

@Megan thank you! I will Try this 🙏🏼

@Jessica I would then use the saline spray after and she would often do a few sneezes. Hope it works for you and your little one is better soon

I know you said you used the suction thing but which one? I have an electronic snot sucker and it’s the best thing ive ever bought. I’ve also used the one where you such yourself and didn’t rate it at all

@Chloé Collier which brand do you use?? I only have the one you suck yourself z

@Megan thank you x

A dehumidifier at night is a God send as well. The vicks one was on discount in Boots not too long ago x

@Amy a dehumidifier or a humidifier? We have both but most people say humidifier 😅

@Jessica apologies, a humidifier x

We use the snuffle baby nasal spray, leave it a few minutes then use the suction thing when our LG gets milk bogies.

We use saline spray and snuffle babe. Avoid using the suction too much. The more you remove the more the body produces
