Has anyone fainted during pregnancy before?

I had a real scare today out in public and I feel super vulnerable posting it. But has anyone experienced fainting during pregnancy? I was rushed to hospital and had checks etc just waiting on bloods. But I’m consultant led due to low BMI. But just curious ? I eat well and drink fine and have avoided the sun as much as possible. Happened in Costco today.. I’m Mortified 😭 . A sudden rush to my head felt like something took over my body… and then I collapsed.

The most I experienced so far was being super lightheaded but as far as I know being lightheaded and fainting is pretty common in pregnancy

@Livie yeah I saw online it’s common, but thank you

A couple of times in my late 2nd and 3rd trimester I had to sit down in the middle of morrisons because I went so light headed I was going to faint, you're not alone! Hope you're okay

@Chloe thank you lovely! Yess it is scary tbh, nice to know I’m not alone

Yes when I stand still for longer periods, especially during first trimester. Needed to make alteration to my job because of that. It got slightly better that I could stand from 15 mins to 1 hour and get more warning as pregnancy progresses. GP did bloods etc and everything was fine.

@Lillian yeah I felt like this a lot during first trimester but thought it’ll ease during second. But I guess I know not too stand for too long. But thank you!

Yes, mine was low blood pressure x

@Farhana have you tried maybe pressure stockings?

@Lillian never thought of this! I’ll have a look thank you

I have had 1 fainting spell but mostly just very dizzy and lightheaded (during 1st and again in 3rd trimester), which doctor thinks is due to low Blood pressure with high pulse (heart rate). Your body is working so much harder for the baby so it makes sense. I think it's pretty common but always good to link in with doctor if it's worsening or changing
