@Millie he’s 17 months xx
@Jodie any other symptoms? Or anything new in babies diet? Xx
@Millie literally nothing at all! X
I had eczema when I was younger so it can be genetic xx
@Jodie definitely could be!!! I feel u on that as well, still suffering with eczema and so is my baby :( hope you get the answers you need soon xx
@Millie I get it could be heat rash as we’ve had 4 or 5 very hot days,so I’m going to give it couple days see if it goes or not. He’s fine in hiself cc
@Jodie mama gut instinct is often overlooked!! You know best xx
I think heat rash, my little one got this last summer and it didn't stick around for winter. If your worried you can ask the gp, if you can send pictures you probably won't even need an appointment xx
@Sophie I was thinking that! I might give it another day or 2 and see what happens see if it goes down,then I’ll call the DR if needed. Thankyou xx
Bepanthom is a nappy rash cream btw, but works wonders 🙃, of course go GP first and see what they say and if what they say doesn't work then it may be same case as mine. X
@Sophie I don’t have bepanthom,but I do have sudocrem and metanium nappy cream. If that also works? Have your little one got it also?
@rebekah I’m glad someone else in the same boat! Hopefully it’ll calm down soon. Any little thing I see on little man’s skin I’m always inspecting it,especially being a first time mumma x
Me too! But we got it checked and that’s what it was! Better to be safe than sorry x
@Jodie sorry I spelt it wrong it's bepanthen & you can get it on amazon or in supermarkets like Tesco etc. It's so much better then sudocrem In my experience anyway definitely worth a try ! Xx and yes she did have it's gone now thanks to that, I said to GP I thought it was heat rash but it just wasn't going after weeks and weeks but after using that cream, makes me think it very well could have been a heat rash she was very sweaty so makes sense. If you can get ya hands on it I really do recommend 👌

Oh also it hasn't come back since using it either ! It's got some sort of protective layer to prevent future rashes i think either way it did the job x
@rebekah 🤞🏽 it’ll go soon then,otherwise I’ll call the Dr too! X
@Sophie it was heat rash she had? I’ll give it a few days and see if it goes,otherwise will get some of that,or some sort of nappy cream! Is it expensive? Xx
@Sophie not expensive at all then! I’ll definitely get some if it doesn’t go soon then! Thankyou for your help c
This looks like my LB skin when it’s warm, he has eczema and is a hot baby anyways so he gets heat rash sometimes too. It can be worth getting checked out, the reason I did was because his skin felt super dry but didn’t look too bad just a bit blotchy sometimes then he had a flare up in all of his creases and on his face that wouldn’t go away. We stopped using any and all soaps and creams, bathed with just water every evening and got an emollient cream the pharmacist recommended too. Can’t hurt to try doing that first maybe as thats all they recommend like they did when I took him to the gp, apart from prescribing a steroid cream for his flare up but we’ve kept it at bay without a steroid cream since then 🤞🏼
@Hollie Thankyou. He doesn’t really have eczema just the odd bit ok his face,and we got prescribed a steroid cream for that 1%,as first we had epimax and didn’t do anything… with the steroid he has the littlest flare ups. Did you get prescribed dermol as an emollient? So literally wash with nothing just water? 🤔 I’ll try this also then. I don’t wanna call the DR just yet just in case I get rid of it without the Drs help just yet xx
So girlies it is heat rash! Just been to the dr,we ere getting some moisturiser prescribed Thankyou for all your help x
@Jodie glad you got it confirmed! Thankyou for the update & remember if the moisturiser doesn't work, try bepanthen 🥰❤️
@Sophie me too,apparently it can take a week or 2 to go down… and he said to use it twice a day everyday! What moisturiser did they give you? Because mine didn’t say. Yeah I’ll try bethanpan if it doesn’t work x
@jodie, they gave me something for eczema rather then heat rash they said it was that but I'm very certain it was heat rash and it took weeks to go, until I used bepanthen, I put it on her and left over night all gone by morning! I can't remember what the moisturiser they gave me was called though it just aggravated &spread the rash ( I'm not saying that's going to happen to you don't worry!) Just sharing my experience xx
@Sophie yeah we got given epimax once and that was crap! Yeah well when I pick it up later,I’ll use it for a day or 2 and see how we go,and then I’ll purchase bethanpan if needed. Thanks again x
@Jodie I th8nk it was epimax actually that rings a bell! Best of luck do let me know how u get on! Xx
@Sophie we will have it,so hopefully he hasn’t prescribed it again 🤦🏼♀️. Will dooo x
@Sophie I can see why you said it doesn’t work. We’ve been using it since Friday when we got it prescribed! And it’s literally spread the heat rash around the rest of his body 🤦🏼♀️xx
Honestly ! I'm sorry that it's happened to you too! Hopefully if you manage to get bepanthen it will clear it up, I smothered here with it & left over night and was all gone by morning xx
