Help! My Baby’s Skin is Super Dry – What Works?

My little girl has really dry skin, and I’ve been using coconut oil on her, but there’s still dryness. I’ve also tried Aveeno lotion, but nothing seems to work. Anyone else dealing with this?

When my baby's skin gets dry, I use a thin layer of Vaseline as suggested by the HV. It really helps.

How often do you bath your baby? It might also help reducing if you wash them often as over washing could dry their young skin.

When old enough Aveeno Baby Dermexa was the best cream ever! I can’t remember at what age is best to start though

Have you tried Oilaitum? They sell it in boots. It’s really moisturising, works wonders for my little one. I also use Vaseline a couple times a week rather than baby lotions xx

Mustela range is really good, contains avocado oil

Shea butter tends to help my little one’s dry patches x

I second Aveeno Dermexa. Gp prescribed zeroveen which is similar and works great. You may have to start off with l applying twice a day
