Skip the socks
We don't usually wear socks around the house so I say skip them
My boy is doing the same thing. I usually leave his socks off cause he pulls them off anyways 😆 I put socks on him at bed time though even if hes wearing a sleeper. They say as long as their belly is warm they are fine from what I have read!
I put socks on him but I ask "where is your sock?" 100x a day because he kicks them off😂😂
@Rachel mine is 5 months but it’s normal for them to be 8 months old before they start doing it :)
I was always told unless it’s like super cold socks are not needed and are actually a sensory barrier for the baby. So yeah definitely ditch them. 😄 we never wore socks unless it was super cold
@Nora **Piggybacking off of what you said bc I was going to say the same thing as far as sensory lol.** Yeah, my 5 month old became aware of his feet last month so since them I've been trying to keep the socks off I'm the house as long as it isn't too cold. In the beginning his socks were always on, so I feel a little guilty about that but it was always so cold!
My babynis doimg the same, and i take hisnsocks off if he's putting toes in mouth
My baby girl is constantly eating her feet. She only wears socks if we are going somewhere and it’s cold outside, if we are just chilling around the house she has “naked feet” as I like to say. 🩷🤷🏼♀️
I was always told with my first babe that it's okay for their little feet and hands to be cold as long as their body is warm. Apparently they get so much sensory input through their feet that's it's good for them to risk being a little cold to gain that exposure
So good to know about the sensory input!! I know their little bodies prioritize pumping blood to their organs before their extremities but I always worry when her little feet turn purple 🥹
Nah skip the socks but that’s impressive for her age tho!
I heard it’s better for their development if they don’t have socks & hospital said hands and feet being cold doesn’t mean they are cold .. we still put socks sometimes tho (tho tbh I’m embarrassed to say I do it more bc he grabs my hair out even with his toes 🤪 (I swear 98% of my pp hair loss is just from him grabbing my hair out of my scalp every 30 seconds all day & night no matter how far I tuck it away he always finds some to pluck out 😭)
@Lesya I feel your pain 🥲 with my first I cut my hair to try and avoid him grabbing and pulling but he still got it 😭

No socks here!
Impressive, my baby can’t do that…she is 4 and a half months old
