Our neighbour is confrontational and just an overall awful person so was worried that she would start on me if she knew it was me that complained. I put this across to the letting agent and she said that it would be anonymous and they would generalise the complaint so she couldn’t work out who it was from. Tbh, the smoking wasn’t the only issue we had. They were partying all day and night in the garden whilst taking other drugs and exposing themselves throughout the day.
Kinda. I live in an old tall house that’s been converted into 2 flats and a maisonette. I live in the maisonette at the top of the building and have 2 floors (basically a house up a flight of stairs). The neighbour in the basement smokes weed inside and outside of her flat day and night. The outside of the house stinks if her windows are open and if we have our windows open, the smell comes into our house and absolutely stinks the place up. Last summer I got so fed up with it especially being pregnant that I sent photos and videos of her and her friends rolling joints and smoking weed to our letting agent. I put in a formal complaint as I was fed up. The letting agent came over and could smell it herself. I’m not sure what happened but it suddenly just stopped. She still smokes in her home and outside in the garden (not shared - it is for her part of the property) but she now goes to the end of the garden most of the time. I’d suggest speaking to their landlord/letting agents
