I have a hard time to burp, my baby

I hope we’re a really hard time burping my baby. He’s just eight weeks and I really like I think it’s the bottle or just him. He’s been not burping as easy so if anybody has any tips to self this problem.

I put my baby on her back for a little, wait until she whines letting me know that she’s ready and she’d burp as soon as I pick her up

I put my baby on my knee, support their head, and straighten their back and few bounces in your knee, you can also rub their back at the same time. My baby has always burped easily that way, and I burp my friend's babies the same way, never takes long.

There are a lot of different ways that you can burp a baby. Cup your hand and dont be too soft. Rub their back in a figure 8 or upwards. You can bounce softly or move their hips in a circle motion. If baby is not burping hold them upwards for about 20 min before laying them down. You can use a baby carrier, ring sling, baby wrap to help hold them up if they are heavier/bigger so your arms dont get too tired lol

We also had trouble burping in the beginning. We saw an incredible lactation consultant who never patted her, simply rubbed my daughters back in circles and within seconds she would burp. Has worked every single time since for us!

Also, unless you think you really need to, babies for the most part don't need to be burped after feeding. Mine didn't seem to burp so I just stopped trying and she was fine. https://healthcare.utah.edu/the-scope/kids-zone/all/2021/06/debunking-old-wives-tales-do-babies-need-burp-after-feeding
