I like the name Athena. I know an Athena and she never had any problems with that name. People will always have thier comments.

My little sister is called Athena, her middle names are Saffron Rose, and we called her ‘Fifi‘ as a little girl, which as she became an adult often just gets shortened to ‘Fi’. I’m only 3 years older than her so to me I’ve only ever known it and probably didn’t realise until I got older it was an uncommon name, 20+ years ago it was anyway, to me was really normal. I love her name, if she wasn’t called Athena I’d consider it for my own children, it’s beautiful xxx

A name is a name and Athena is a beautiful name at that. I don’t think you, your child, or the next person has to live up to anyone else’s standards. I would just ignore that dumb comment altogether. If you love the name then use it girl.

I like it! I think a one syllable, quite classic middle name would go well, eg Belle Grace Hope Rose Jane

People say that about god/goddess names… but names like Atlas, Apollo, Hercules, Artemis, Calliope, Persephone aren’t that rare anymore. There’s lots of other mythological names that have become mainstream too, like Phoenix. But I do think it’s on a whole different level than Beau, tbh

I taught an Athena, the name suited her. Her brothers are Theon and Adonis (a name he did not live up to, bless him!)
