Eczema flare up. But no creams are working.

She wakes up through the night saying she’s itchy (she’s 22 months old) if it hasn’t started to clear by Monday, I’m taking her back to the doctors to get her steroid cream. But have you got any creams that are worth trying? We’ve had epimax, aproderm and there’s another one.

If it's dry, then 50/50 ointment works. Elidel for flares for us.

@Lillian it’s as dry as a bone. The only thing she will let us put on that’s helping is after sun

@Andreea could be the case but not always with eczema flares. If she's allergic to food antihistamine could help, it does for us. Calms down the redness/ acute flare in a few hours but pre-existing eczema is still there. We only need 1/2 doses of antihistamine, he's not on it long term.

Something with Zinc oxide will help it feel less itchy. We find all those paraffin creams irritate our baby’s skin more

No creams worked for us, and I’ll be honest we’ve been given about 6 plus two steroids. We’re now using betnovate and within a week, the redness has gone and the itching has stopped! We’re on strict instructions from the doctor and dermatologist but I’m just so glad it’s clearing and she’s no longer in pain.

We’ve got a doctors appointment today as last time we got steroid cream they said if it comes back again she needs to go back and they will re assess her
