How much colostrum to take to hospital?!

So at 41 weeks my waters went this evening. I now have 24 hours for labour to start before we have to go the induction route at hospital rather than birthing centre where I was hoping to have a water birth! šŸ¤ž I have a few syringes of colostrum in freezer, how much should I take to hospital or birth centre?

With my first I went into labour two hours after my waters broke so I hope your body does similar! I didn’t take any in the end and the hospital just gave them to me to collect and feed straight away as and when I needed. Second baby latched so well immediately we didn’t need them at all. But if you do maybe just take all of them? You can still ask for more and collect if you need to.

Good Luck. They can provide syringes there if you run out and they put in fridge I believe. X

I would take it all, you can always bring back any you didn’t use. Goodluck xx I pray everything goes smoothly. Keep us updated

Midwife told me today to bring in 4/5 x

I think I bought around 10 in of various sizes - 1ml, 2.5ml etc. Had my baby this afternoon and just like her sister, feeding straight from the breast has been a challenge initially so very glad to have them in the freezer. Wishing you luck for your birth

I took 7 and used all 7. It took the pressure off of me. Baby then latched perfectly and still enjoying our breastfeeding journey

I took 3 but didn’t use them. The exact same thing happened to me with waters going first, try and stay at home as long as possible before going to hospital and make sure your labour is established, good luck ā˜˜ļø
