Nickname

Wondering what can be a Nickname for the name Markus that isnt Mark... I really love the name Markus but absolutely hate the name Mark so nobodies gonna call him that. So anyone suggestions? Or should I just come up with one out of the blue?

MJ if you have a middle name starting with J or MO if you have a middle name starting with O.

Since there’s no “natural” nickname option apart from Mark…kids in school and other places you don’t have control will call him Mark. Just need you to be prepared for the inevitable. You can ask family and stuff not to call him that but your reach only extends so far.

@Christine oh no. Thats not gonna happen lol cause he'll grow up knowing not to let ppl call him that too. Me and my sisters have our names and nobody at school shorten them either bc our mom didn't like the shortened versions, if somebody tried to we corrected them. Everyone knew by time we were in 4th grade not to try to shorten our names like that. We had nicknames dont get me wrong but it wasnt a shortened version of our names cause like I said mom didn't like how they sounded.

My brother is named Marcus and we just call him Markie…. I know it’s basically Mark but cuter lol.
