Silent reflux

Hey I’m looking for a bit of advice my LO is currently 6 weeks and the last couple of days after her feed she’s become so distressed and crying after her feed, also when we take the bottle away to wind her. She rarely sick but will have the occasional spit up but not every day. She goes bright red in the face after her feed like she’s in pain, this will usually last around half an hour but then once she’s settled she’s fine. Currently trying to get into the doctors tomorrow for some advice🫠

My child had really bad silent reflux too, the only thing that kinda helped was gaviscon sachets from the doctors but I did have to go a few times before they prescribed it, apart from that nothing really helped unfortunately however it subsided massively when he turned 12 weeks and pretty much went away then!

@Rachel she’s been fine it’s only been the last couple of days she started being like it, it’s just straight after her feed it’s like she’s in pain and when we stop to wind her. She’s very rarely sick. Im going to get into the doctors tomorrow for some advice there’s definitely somthing that’s upsetting her x

@Rachel have you seen the doctor yet? We are having the same issue and I suspect silent reflux. We both so stressed and tired. It started about a week ago. I had my 6 week GP appointment but the doctor was not really listening to me, like yeah.. this is normal. I’m going to try health visitors tomorrow 😭 I can’t live like this.

We saw a cranial osteopath which really really helped as well as infant Gaviscon. She used to be in so much pain after feeds it was awful and she didn’t sleep because of it x
