@Brianna yeah it's from the Shannara Chronicles I always loved the name And she saved that girl from getting SA
My initial thought was it looks like an incorrect spelling of the country Eritrea 🇪🇷 in east Africa.
@Erica exactly this
I also thought you misspelled the country
@Erica that’s what I thought as well
I think you should change the spelling and run with the country name variation, I like the sound of it and I've never heard it used as a name before.
I knew this was from Shannara chronicles! Loved that show! Our little girl is called Elisaria. Both me and my husband are sure we heard it on a tv show but found no record of it. We did think it might have been from shannara chronicles but we might have been getting confused with Eritrea. I do agree with changing the spelling though. I feel like a lot of people will mispronounce the name (more like air-et-ree-ah) x
@Erica hmmm good to know 🤔 never thought of that, I personally was a fan of the spelling but either way it's a name that will be weird for people at first
Like the country? I would definitely think of the country’s spelling first.
Agree with the others, that pronunciation goes with the country and I wouldn't pronounce it that way from the spelling you've written.
Spelled as is, I would pronounce it air- uh- tree- uh - for a “tray” sound I would use an “e” instead of an “i” - Eretrea or Eritrea - the letters become a diphthong so pronunciation is standardized
@Jill i think that pronunciation sounds kinda ugly honestly 😭 I'm sticking with what I picked but thanks 🙏
@Jill agree! I The tray would be pronounced better spelled - Eritrea
I’d say it like the country Eritrea

@Trinity keep it the way it is lol. It's adorable, if anything it would be the ancient city of Greece not the African country. 🤣
@Brianna at least one person gets it, that's all I need 😂🌷✨
From the Shannara trilogy? Didn't know there was a series but I read the books. I love the name, its def unique and feisty. ❤️
