No real words
Anyone else’s LO only really point and whine when wanting something instead of using words? I try to encourage to use her words and practice asking for something but she just gets upset.

My kiddo is the same but we have been teaching her ASL. We’re working with a early intervention speech therapist which IS helping but the ASL is nice because it prevents meltdowns over communication until we can learn verbal words! If you’re really worried I would look into early intervention in your area or find a speech language pathologist.
My kiddo is the same. Very little words, he did before but just stopped and reverted what he would say.
She may not have the words for what she wants. Have her show you when she’s grunting for something…”show me what you’d like..” have her take you to it and then tell her the words.. “oh! You’d like a BANANA…here is your BANANA”
