Try to wash his bum instead of using wipes for a while and let him be nappy free now and then before you put a new nappy on x
100% let his bottom air out as much as possible. Let him completely dry before putting on cream and put it on every time you have to put a diaper on. Air is the best medicine
I highly recommend aquaphor with every diaper change my daughter hasnāt gotten a diaper rash in over a year now
Mine had the same, it looked like her skin was peeling, and it was hard to the touch and I would change her diaper religiously!!! Our pediatrician recommended Desitin (the purple one) and I started applying thick layers of it and by the next morning it wasn't red anymore and started softening
Hi Adrianna, so sorry your little one is struggling. We had the same when our son was newborn and found that even the super sensitive, gentle wipes were too abrasive for his fragile new skin. Creams seemed to make things worse. We moved to only using cotton wool and warm water and this almost immediately resolved the issue. Hope that helps.
my daughter was in the nicu for 10 days after she was born and they used pampers there and she would often have rashes like that and then we used the diapers we had from the hospital for a while and had the same problem. when we switched to the diapers that we had bought ourselves, Honest diapers, the rash went away. not saying pampers causes them, just our experience!
It was the diapers with my daughter I hated the papers swaddlers cause she was so red her skin would crack even with aquafor or Vaseline I switched to Huggies Skin essentials and seen a huge difference I also did cloth diapers for a while until her skin healed
Maybe try changing the brand of diaper you are using? If you are breast feeding or pumping the best remedy I find is your milk either directly on the rash and/ or milk bath( little water and enough beast milk so the water is cloudy). But if not try an avoid rubbing with wipes for now and ease up on the soap if you are using any. Rinse with water after poops. Aquaphor on dry skin. And I found this butt cream worked too. https://a.co/d/56NElqb
I stongly recommend earth mama diaper balm for daily usage. I am really happy with it, the redness goes away so quickly, and the fact that it is organic is a big plus too!
Butt paste is good when a rash is present. Aquaphor imo does a better job of v preventing diaper rash but not healing them
washed his butt with warm water in the sink and put some boobie milks on him and letting him air dry now ! will follow up with some diaper rash cream before we try a diaper !
didnāt last very long till his next poop, at least i had him on a doggy pee pad , time to try this again
I found that switching from pampers to Huggies or Millie moon helped a lot with diaper rash. Also honest diapers but they tend to run small so size up with those. Baking soda in the bath water will also help. I give my son a bath bomb when he has a diaper rash and he loves the colors and it helps with the rash. Also the red packaging diaper rash cream is a godsend
i found pampers stuck to my babyās skin but some people like them. personally i liked luvs, up&up and huggies. whatever wood i gets (usually sensitive skin) i water them down still. lotion after every bath and i use lots of vaseline and only diaper rash cream if signs of a rash not as preventative. with lotion and vaseline iāve found he never gets diaper rash. also if you can let baby air out that would be good while their skin heals

Wipes are the absolute worst for delicate baby butts, even if they brand them as āAll natural ingredientsā. Just use plain olā water and cotton wool balls then gently pat dry with a clean towel and apply Sudocrem or the US equivalent to a baby friendly antiseptic healing cream š«¶š»
Let that baby booty breathe! When my son caught a bad rash (about 3 weeks old) i stuck a postpartum pad to a cloth diaper pad and loosely wrapped him up in it. He was able to get plenty of time to air out his bottom and healed quickly. Now every night i pat his bottom completly dry after bath time, let his bottom breathe while i put lotion all over the rest of him, and absolutely slather his entire diaper area with A+D cream before his bedtime. Havent had a rash since!
Diaper cream with every nappy change. Make sure the bottom is completely dry after cleaning. We also use bamboo towels wet with water and only dap his bottom rather than wiping. He has eczema elsewhere on his body and super sensitive skin. I'm in the U.K. but bepanthen and zinc works for us.
