neck rash, advice pleaseeee

My little girl keeps getting this rash on her neck, purely from dribble/sick. I keep a bib on her, change it throughout the day along with her clothes. I also use nipple cream as a barrier but it just still stays so red! Any advice please?

My baby boy had something similar and I found using a bib that has waterproof lining and natures child talc free organic baby powder did wonders. I washed his neck, dried it well and applied the powder. Keeping it dry during the day and applying when needed

We had similar problems. We found sudocrem and many bibs per day as well as making sure she was clean and dry to help somewhat. It miraculously seemed to solve itself a couple of weeks ago as she got to 5 months. I don’t know why, she still dribbles constantly and we still have bibs on her all day. Maybe as she’s growing her neck is getting longer and she’s getting more mobile so it doesn’t become quite so trapped and irritated.

I would try sudocrem. I bathe my baby girl daily as a part of her bed time routine which I think helps her loads as she’s the same, constantly having dribble and spit up in her neck crease. I also use talc, which has always been amazing for my baby personally. She’s dribbling and sicking up loads and hasn’t had a rash yet! Xx

Id use something like Calendula Powder, it will keep it dry as well as anti inflammatory xxx

Nipple cream contains lanolin, which can be an allergen to some. Maybe try sudocrem as suggested as an alternative.

I have used the child farm nappy cream on my little one’s neck. I would wipe it first with Mustella water, make sure it’s dry and then put some on.

I’ve been using weleda nappy cream and ‘dribble days’ bibs. They are amazing, really thick and absorbent. Seems to be keeping it at bay at the moment x

Thanks so much everyone!

I have been having the same issues with my LO and was going to make a post - thanks @Shannon for the post :) I'm going to try sudocrem as well

Have you tried doing more tummy time, as they hold their head up so the air gets to it more? I find this works for my LO. If I notice any redness starting to appear, I do lots of play on her mat and thankfully it just goes without needing any further treatment or creams etc
