Help❗️Non-Stop Running Nose😭

My daughter started school about 3 weeks ago and her nose hasn’t stopped running since 😭 After her first week we found out she had an ear infection (we’re thinking from all the crying she did when she first started school, and the mucus buildup/running nose). So we took her out for 4 days to let the medicine kick in. Today her teacher mentioned how her nose was running a lot today (the 3rd time she has brought it to our attention) and I’m starting to think it’s her classroom! I feel like we’ve tried every over the counter medication (age appropriate) and even started giving her vitamins. Her DR said if she’s not running a fever then it could be allergies and it has to run it’s course 😭 my mother-in-law said that’s what happens when toddlers start school from the bacteria and germs that go around the classroom 😭 Does anyone have any good advice, tips or remedies to help prevent my baby girls nose from running? I’m even considering mentioning something to the school director about the possibility of teachers lysoling the classrooms (cause I don’t see them doing it). Before school my daughter had nannies, so we didn’t have these issues 🫠

lol it’s sounding like this is baby #1. It’s totally okay and normal for kids to get runny noses or sick when they first start daycare. She’s gonna build up that immune system in no time. Not sure how much time has passed since she had ear infection, but be sure to finish the full course of meds given by dr to make sure it doesn’t come back. Just because you don’t see symptoms doesn’t mean stop meds. Just also because you don’t see the teachers doing it doesn’t mean they aren’t, they do it often when they can between transitioning kids from class to class or during nap time, i recommend donating cleaning supplies. And don’t beat yourself up kids are going to be kids, they will get sick, and sometimes there is nothing to do but let it run its course and make them as comfortable as possible. Try nasal saline, bulb syringe or nose Frida, and a humidifier or steamy baths to help drain the nose, keep her hydrated and you’re doing great.

@Ashley this is definitely baby #1, my heart and soul 😭 thank you for the feedback 🫶🏾 being pregnant doesn’t help ease my mind about it 😭 we definitely finished the medication for the ear infection, and I watch the monitor in the classroom very often and haven’t seen any Lysol or cleaning products on the toys 🫠 but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt..lol💕
