Daycare kiddos

Any mammas with kiddos in daycare? We are having a very hard time. My 14 month old started daycare 3 months back and is down with a new virus/ illness every other week. N then shes home for few days or whole week. Poor thing is going through a lot. It’s making it difficult for both of us as we work full time. Managing home, work n her is very difficult. I keep hoping that now it will get better but just when I think so theres a new illness. So far we have seen HFM, bronchitis, n regular cold n cough all the time, which come with fever. 🥵 A tired mama needs some help. Any one in same boat or went through this? When does this end??

We've had covid, pneumonia (twice), numerous colds, gastro. Right now HFM is going around the daycare. As the weather gets nicer and they spend more time outside they shouldn't get as sick as often. Swap covid for a double sinus infection and I've had everything my son's had on top of being pregnant.

Unfortunately it took a year before my son stopped getting sick so much. That dovetails with what others had told me as well.

I have been there. I had to put my little one in daycare when she was 6 months and honestly it was so tough. She got every illness and had ear infections back to back constantly. It was so hard because we were constantly having to take work off. I will say it does get better. My little one is one year old now (so been in daycare about 6 months) and the constant sickness slowed down after she had been in daycare about 4 months. She still gets a runny nose but she hasn’t had a fever in a really long time. Probably the hardest time for us. Thinking of you! You will get through this and her immune system will be so strong later on!

We are going through the same struggle. Was wondering if this normal but reading about everyone else's experience gives me some hope.

Took about 7/8 months for us to see illnesses slow down. He gets the odd thing now and then but much better now. Should getting better as summer comes too, you're not alone. You can do it mama!

Thank you for posting this!! We are also experiencing similar challenges. Our LO is new to daycare and he has been out sick every other week with lingering symptoms that has not cleared such as congestion, cough, etc. Tested negative for the usual suspects but the Pediatrician says it can take up to 4 weeks for him to improve with a caveat that kids in daycare will get sick 10-12x a year. We are also getting sick. Today, our LO is back to square one - sick again! Thankfully, I wfh but this is another level to stay healthy and balanced while feeling convinced this is the right choice, especially paying for service that is not being utilized… I guess this is the cost of getting immune! 🤷‍♀️ Glad to know we are not alone!!! P.s. We just started to implement Vitamin C and other immunity syrups for our LO’s support…something to consider for those in similar circumstances.

Just came back from her pediatrician this morning and she has bronchitis probably. Pediatrician says we pay for them to be home lol.. I pray for all mamas and we will get through ❤️

My baby gets sick all the time I think cause we introduced her into daycare at 3 1/2 months her sickness doesn’t get that bad anymore it’s been 7 months and getting sick has slowed down a lot but she’s still getting me sick in the process.

My daughter has been in daycare for almost a year now and still gets cough and runny nose for a few days every other week.. had RSV first few weeks there.
