Montessori Mamas

Hi mamas!! I really want to set up a Montessori kitchen for my almost 2 year old so he can start learning to do little things himself but I’m scared he’s just going to play with the water and pull out all the plates and utensils. Part of me doesn’t think he’s ready yet :( any advice on when to start or how to know if your toddlers ready!?

Hi, I’m not sure if you guys are able to help but I’m located in NYC and looking for Montessori schools for my son. I want to start him at 2 but I have so much anxiety sending him. I’ve been researching schools and although I find positive reviews the negative ones are not putting me at ease as they are red flags to me, my son can’t talk not talk and tell what’s wrong and he doesn’t have an older sibling that would stand up for him or tell me what is happening. I realize I might be unreasonable but I just want a school where he will be safe, where teachers are attentive to each individual kid and theirs needs. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know. Thank you so much

Hello! I’m a FTM to an 11 week old boy. I’m looking into activities to do with him, and I am really interested in learning more about the Montessori way. What are your favorite resources (books, websites, etc) for learning more? What made other families lean in this direction?

Is it too late to try and do montessori activities now with my almost 2 year old . Do children have tantrums ? Mines has a lot of tantrums, and I'm worried to even try and do creative activities. We've tried scribbling, and he'll scribble all over the carpet. i wanted to try painting, but I'm not sure how to go with it.

My boy seems to be a natural wizz with 3D Magnatile building, wondering what intelligence it’s under so we can explore this skill further? (I know it’s a theory but I would like to hear your input?) :)
