Midwife mobile number/exemption card
Hi everyone! Hope you are doing well.
Has anyone been given a mobile number for their midwife at West Midd? Not sure if West Midd just don’t do this - I haven’t been given one and all my other preggo friends seem to have been given one at their hospital….
My friend literally texted her midwife at C&W this afternoon about her prescription exemption card and got it sent to her by email within a couple of hours. I asked my midwife at my last appointment and she said I would need to print a form and get her to fill it out the next time I see her (which isn’t for another 8 weeks…). Bit confused why there is such a difference in approach from different hospitals!

Also for the exemption certificate you don't need your midwife to sign anything. Go to your GP and request a form, fill it out and hand it back to them and they'll send it off. I got my certificate through about 3 weeks later xx
Some trusts have a policy not to give out midwife’s mobile numbers . Too many people texting to report reduced fetal movements etc and that’s not what they’re for. So lots of places have stopped it now x
