Levothyroxine

Has anyone felt like you fluctuate between hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism? I didn't have any thyroid issues until I was pregnant with my first. I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and put on the 25mg dosage of levothyroxine. It helped and I had no issues with it throughout my pregnancy or postpartum. Fast forward to my 2nd pregnancy and I was upped to 50mg because my TSH was a little high. I struggled with being sick for most of my pregnancy and it continued into postpartum. From what I've read my symptoms are side effects from my levothyroxine being too high a dose. I decided to halve my dosage back to 25mg and my symptoms improved and for the first time in months I felt back to normal. After about 3 months I started getting symptoms of hypothyroid again so I went back to my 50mg dose and it improved. Then after about 3 months I was back to having a bunch of levothyroxine side effects again. So I went back down to 25mg and things have improved, but I'm still feeling off. I feel like I'm either off one direction or another and my doctor just tells me my numbers are within normal range. I want to see an endocrinologist, but my doctor says they only see people who have bad numbers. Has anyone else had similar issues while on levothyroxine?

I have had my thyroid removed. They started me on Levo but now I take Armour, doctors dont like to prescribe it since its harder for THEM to control it...but it makes people feel better than levo. Levo made me tired and gain weight . You can try taking selenium or a thyroid support supplement along w your dose to help it convert better in your body .

I am on 125mg of levo since having my kids I had one 2019 & another in 2021 and I think that’s what did it! I feel better now sorted my diet out I’m on Herbalife and now bloods have come back so much better but it’s a worry isn’t it being on drugs for life xx
