Cues and timing changing at 3 months

We have been doing part time EC since day 3. Basically did some nappy free observations and then been offering potty or sink when at home 1nd using diaper when on the go (although about to change that). But since baby turned 3 months all timing and cues seem to have changed! The main change is that baby frets at breast for wees now instead of using transitions periods only. But in general cues are way more suttle (giving me a startled look or a snappy noise for wees, light grunting for poops). I am quite confused. Anyone else noticing major cues and timing changes as baby grows?

I noticed our little girls cues changed a lot when she was still small. It's like everything else with a babe. Just when you figure out a routine, they change on you 😂😅 It's an adjustment for sure and as each baby is individual it's hard to advise too. But with EC I always found it rewarding there's another communication channel with you offering this and that's amazing. Stick at it, mine was potty trained at 18 months and although we had challenges along the way it was a great experience and we're definitely going to do this approach again with baby #2 due in March ❤️

Mine never picked up on this but I tried to give her some sign language cues to communicate with us. See if yours is maybe up for learning some potty signs? I've heard / seen other babies very young picking up simple signs... not mine but maybe yours will 🤞
