Derby royal hospital induction.

Booked in for induction today at Derby but been told by midwife on the call my partner will not be allowed to stay until I am on labour ward. Has anyone had recent experiences of being induced at derby where partner has been allowed to stay? FTM and very anxious!

I was induced at derby in august, my partner stayed on the ward with me until 10pm and then was sent home and was allowed back 7am the next morning. hope all goes well for you Xx

My partner was there while I was induced n stayed over night cause I was still in labour

(to follow on) this was until I went down to the labour ward then he stayed the whole time and once I had baby and went back up to the ward he was allowed to stay over night with us and slept in the chair

I was induced in April, my partner was sent home at 8:30 (I was in labour but they refused to check me) and told to come back at 7am. Unfortunatly instead he went home at 8:30 and had to be called at 12 and my daughter was born at 1, he very nearly missed her birth as well as I had to go through it all on my own x

I stopped on the ward in October and my husband could stay untill 8. As we dont live close, he stopped overnight in the Premier inn across the road just in case. He was then back again the next day when i went into labour. X

I thought the partner was allowed to stay at all times now? X

I’ve been told my partner can stay over night the whole time I’m there

@Hannah not for inductions unless you go into Labour or there’s other specials circumstances where they are able to accommodate this as you’re on a ward with other women in bays. They’ve only got some side rooms available so depends on whether they are free or not x

I was induced in September. My partner stayed with me from when I went in until the 3 of us came home the following day. I gave birth overnight.

I was induced the middle of November and ended up staying in for 4 days - my husband was allowed to stay in with me the whole time x

I was induced New Year’s Eve, stayed on bay K until went to labour ward night of 2nd and had her 3rd, home on 4th after 24hr obs. My other half went home on the 2nd for one night (his choice as pessary was taken out and I had to wait 4 hrs for a doctor to put gel on) to get some kip and also went home the night of the 3rd as kids started back school 4th again our choice. He could, however, have stayed with me from 31st til 4th as dads are allowed to stay on ward after too..only thing is they have to kip in the chair so if it’s a 58 hour deal like mine he probably will need to pop home at some point for the sake of his back! X

I gave birth on 28/11. My husband was sent home at 10pm each night, the second night I went into labour at 11pm just as he'd got home 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️
