I had my baby at the RAH, didn't have a water birth but I was going for a natural labour that ended in a C section, I can't fault any of the staff they were all lovely and supportive if I have another baby I would go to the RAH again x
I havnt gave birth yet (38+5) but I will be at the RAH. We got shown the birth pool and other rooms (which all have a bath so you can’t give birth in the water but you can use it for pain relief) and it looked lovely. I’ve heard really good things about the rah care and think their services are good and up to date!
I was the same between both hospitals… had an induction and c section at qeuh .. great experience with the staff! Would chose them again x
I moved care from princess maternity to RAH and I had a lovely experience there. I’d go there from the start if i have another child.
I gave birth at RAH in August. The midwife’s in the maternity when I was giving birth were amazing but when I was put in the ward I was left by myself and the midwife wasn’t overly nice to me x
I gave birth 19 months ago at rah well ended in emergency section and i cant fault one person at all the care was amazing and all the staff dealing with me at the section stayed past their shift to see i was ok
I've had 4 in the RAH and opted for my 5th to be there as well. I had good experiences every time with staff and facilities.
I had a natural birth at the RAH and I couldn’t fault them at all. The staff were all so lovely and attentive, especially supporting me with breastfeeding. I was in for a few days as my labour was quite rough but all the staff were fantastic with myself and my partner.
@Claire that is so weird as I had the complete opposite nobody came near me I asked for help with breastfeeding and never got any at all. I was made to stay in because I wasn’t breastfeeding properly and still got no help. Xx
@Anna that’s such a shame! It’s such a stressful time you really need that support😔
@Claire I know I’ve felt really let down throughout my whole pregnancy tbh there’s start guides I found out after I gave birth I should of been given at midwife appointments and I wasn’t. One of the nurses did apologise to me at one point saying I’ve been really let down. Xx
@Anna that’s terrible😔 Hopefully it’s not impacted your time with your baby now🤞
Och no. I’ve had to give up breastfeeding but there was lots of issues so I expressed for most of the time but decided he’s 5 months and for my mental health I had to stop. Xx
Absolutely, as long as baby is fed, that’s all that matters! You need to enjoy your time with them. X
